The white tag shown above is to be found under the buttstock on some of the K-31 rifles.
It has the name of the serviceman it was issued to, his birth year, and where he lived.
Several collectors have been fortunate enough to have established contact with the former owner of their weapon via mail or the internet.
Friday, Feb. 28th, 2003 was my 35th. birthday. When I got the days mail, I open what I assumed to be a birthday card. It was in fact a package from the former owner of my rifle! He included Photos, Post Cards and a letter.. Click on the link below to see these items.
